Method and assumptions
  1. Each line's delivery window is the PO date plus the published lead time. Schneider rows are the made-to-order weeks in the 2026-09-02 Lead Times Guide, aggregated across the family's product rows (low to high); Schneider calls the guide a planning aid, not a commitment. Transformer and MV switchgear averages are Wood Mackenzie's Q2 2025 figures as reported in its October 2025 note; the pad-mount line is the NRECA coalition's "more than two years" (Jan 2024) and is a floor. Genset bands are Terrapin Construction Group's June 2026 reserved-slot quotes and Cummins' FY2025 10-K.
  2. Ready = delivery plus the install and commissioning weeks you enter per line. The critical path is the line with the latest high-end ready date; slack is the weeks between a line's ready date and the critical one.
  3. Energization month = the critical line's ready month. The low end uses every line's low published weeks; the high end the high. Averages (transformers, MV switchgear) have one value, so their window is a point.
  4. Temporary-power cost = kW x your $/kW-month x months between the target date and the high-end energization month. No published rental rate is in our sources.
  5. Quoted lead times are not shipped lead times. Add slippage from the Lead-Time Monitor and order the transformer before design closes.

Method

Each line’s delivery window is its PO date plus the published lead time: Schneider Electric’s monthly Lead Times Guide (September 2026 edition, made-to-order weeks aggregated by product family), Wood Mackenzie’s Q2 2025 averages for power transformers, GSUs and MV switchgear as reported in its October 2025 note, the NRECA coalition’s “more than two years” for distribution transformers, and Terrapin Construction Group’s June 2026 reserved-slot bands for gensets. Ready = delivery plus your install weeks; the critical path is the latest high-end ready date and sets the energization month. Temporary-power cost is kW times your rental rate times the months between your target and that month.
